Aurora Living: Formation Through Word & Creation© is a two year formation journey comprised of six unique modules, offered both in-person or online. Each three-month module includes:

  • an opening weekend retreat
  • two Saturday retreats
  • small-group Wisdom Circles
  • monthly readings and videos
  • optional spiritual direction

Event Details

Psalms are songs expressing the whole range of human emotion and experience. The soul speaks in song, in poetry, in art. Wisdom literature is also a creative form embodying our collective search for meaning in existence.

PRESENTERS

Steve Bell is a songwriter, storyteller, and troubadour for our time. Over the course of a 30 year solo career, Steve has been sharing a message of love, hope and faith through songs, stories, and writings. He on a focused mission for “refreshing Christian faith and spiritual tradition for the weary and the wary.” www.stevebell.com

Gisele Bauche is a professional artist who has a background in theology, scripture and art.  She is a Spiritual Director who facilitates retreats in scripture, spirituality and art workshops in a variety of mediums, art as a spiritual journey and Iconography. Her artwork has been featured in a variety of publications and commissioned by churches and institutions. Gisele is author of the book, Giving Glory to God: Reflections of an Artist. Iconography has profoundly influenced her life offering a sacred place for prayer, contemplation and spiritual nourishment.

Maureen Wild, SC  served as Director of two spirituality-based ecological learning centers including the Centre for Earth and Spirit, BC, which she co-founded. A teacher by profession, Maureen’s M.Ed. focused on the evolving story of our universe and earth literacy. In 1994 she was a founding member of, and a committed volunteer for, the international network, Sisters of Earth (sisters-of-earth.net), who follow the teachings of Thomas Berry and explore cosmos/earth as manifesting our sacred story with its many implications for living in balance and right relationship. She has led spiritual ecology programs and retreats internationally for 25 years. 

Ron Rolheiser OMI, is an internationally-known writer, retreat leader and spiritual theologian. Born in Macklin, SK, he is author of numerous books including Sacred Fire: A Vision for Deeper Human and Christian Maturity and is well-known for his regular newspaper column carried worldwide. He is a former professor at Newman Theological College in Edmonton and past-president of the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas.
