Aurora Living is For You!

Do you desire a living, deepening relationship with Holy Mystery?
Are you wanting to engage the inner work of integrating contemplative prayer and social practice?
Do you grieve the loss of the common good?
Are you looking for a deeper sense of belonging and commitment with God, others, and creation?

If yes, welcome! Aurora Living is for you.

As we enter the Season of Creation in our church and as our Star team works to draw more people to our Aurora Living: Formation Through Word & Creation program beginning at the end of this month, we are bringing you a special request:

Will you consider becoming a part of our Aurora Living community?

Will you consider the talents, gifts and skills of someone you know and personally call or invite them to consider Aurora Living formation?

Will you empower someone on their faith formation journey by assisting in sponsoring them for a portion of the tuition costs involved?

There are several current Catholic Pastoral priorities of the wider and local Church that Aurora Living successfully explores with participants to empower them with skills and leadership for parishes, the wider community and the common good. We were educated together to:

  •  Welcome encounter and dialogue with people of other wisdom faith traditions (eg. Indigenous & Jewish), Christian denominations (eg: Anglican, Baptist and other) and within our own Catholic faith, to further the common good of all and our common home.

  • Deepen learnings of Catholic Social teachings, Laudato Si’ in particular, with its broad reaches for the common good of peoples, the poor and the environment, for greater understanding of the wounds we are facing nationally and locally in our communities, peoples, lands, and waters.

  • Understand the various impacts of residential schools and colonization on Indigenous peoples through teachings by the Indigenous themselves, and related documents that are included in our curriculum. In this way we recognize our own resistances to the common good and seek deeper conversion in the way of Jesus and the Good news of the kingdom.

  • Deepen practices of contemplation, prayer, witnessing and listening to God’s Word in us for liberating ourselves and others in the healing, reconciling Word of Christ Jesus for the world.

  • Act for justice by signing petitions or attending events to become more informed on local issues or considering personal change such as divesting of fossil fuel investment; supporting immigrant, refugee, and diversity of ethnic cultures in our communities; raising up the voice of oppressed women and ethnic groups, and more.

  • Walk together as the People of God, as united families, for the Common Good in small and large ways!

Come discover a transformed, integral life that joins faith and action together for the common good.

Come meet us at the intersection of Word, Creation, Community, Contemplation, and Right Relations.

This journey is for you!
